Data Deletion Instructions

BeeMetrics is committed to protecting your privacy and giving you full control over your data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your data from our systems, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and platform requirements from Meta, Google, and others.

How to Request Data Deletion

Send a Deletion Request

Email us at privacy@beemetrics.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

Include Required Information

In your email, please include:

Your full name
Email address associated with your BeeMetrics account
Company or store name
Specific data you want deleted (or "all data" for complete deletion)

Identity Verification

To protect your data, we may need to verify your identity before processing the request. We will contact you from the email you used to create your account.

Confirmation

Once your request is processed, we will send you a confirmation email. This typically takes up to 30 days, though we aim to process requests much faster.

Processing Timeline

Standard processing time: Up to 30 days

In most cases, we process deletion requests within 7-14 days. Complex requests or high volumes may require the full 30-day period allowed under GDPR.

What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon your request, we will delete:

Your account information (email, name, password hash)

Connected platform access tokens (Shopify, Meta, Google, etc.)

All analytics data associated with your store(s)

User-provided data (costs, targets, ad tags, etc.)

BeeMetrics Pixel data (if installed)

Team member associations and permissions

Data We May Retain

Some data may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes:

Billing records: Transaction history for accounting and tax purposes (retained for 10 years as required by law)

Legal compliance: Data required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes

Anonymized data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot identify you

Platform-Specific Instructions

Meta (Facebook/Instagram)

If you connected your Meta Ads account to BeeMetrics, you can revoke access at any time:

Go to your Facebook Business Integrations settings
Find "BeeMetrics" in the list of connected apps
Click "Remove" to revoke access

Once revoked, we will no longer be able to access your Meta Ads data. To delete historical Meta data already collected, please submit a data deletion request.

Meta Data Deletion Callback: BeeMetrics supports automated data deletion requests from Meta. When you remove BeeMetrics from your Facebook Business Integrations, Meta may automatically notify us to delete your data.

Google Ads

To revoke BeeMetrics access to your Google Ads account:

Go to your Google Account Permissions
Find "BeeMetrics" in the list of third-party apps
Click "Remove Access"

Shopify

To revoke BeeMetrics access to your Shopify store:

Log in to your Shopify admin
Go to Settings → Apps and sales channels
Find "BeeMetrics" and click the three dots menu
Select "Uninstall"

Klaviyo

To revoke BeeMetrics access to your Klaviyo account:

Log in to your Klaviyo account
Go to Account → Settings → API Keys
Find and revoke the API key used by BeeMetrics

Your Rights

In addition to data deletion, you have the following rights under GDPR and CCPA:

Right to Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
Right to Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
Right to Restrict Processing: Request limitation of how we use your data
Right to Object: Object to certain types of data processing
